GETTING WINTER READY ft. FATFACE

Where is this year going? It's already November and Christmas will be upon us before you know it. This year especially has seemed to have flown by, and I can't believe there's only a few weeks left before it's over. That being said, the Winter season is one of the best when it comes to fashion with the layering options, warmer tones and outerwear pieces. If you're looking for some inspo, FatFace have some great pieces that'll transition from the Autumn into the Winter and make sure you spend less time picking out clothes each day, so that you can spend more time doing this thing you enjoy.

I was lucky enough to have spent the past weekend in Boston for my birthday, and didn't hesitate throwing a few new pieces from FatFace into my suitcase for the trip. The weather is always so unpredictable there, so I knew I needed a few versatile pieces that would be able to be switched in and out depending on the weather that day. I wanted to share with you two of the looks I put together as I think quite a few of you will like the pieces.

For the first outfit, I went for one of my seasonal staples - that waxed broadsands jacket. This is a timeless piece that offers both style and practicality - similar to the chelsea boots also. I absolutely love the fit and feel of this one, and the price point is also brilliant compared to other brands. I layered this up with a simple white tee, checked flannel shirt and finish the look with a slim black jean and tan belt.

Lets talk about the footwear. This time of year always calls for something a bit more robust and versatile, especially with the typical British Winter weather never being able to make its mind up. These boots by Timberland offer both support and grip - something that never goes a miss. I'm also a big fan of the finish on these and the faded wash that adds an extra bit of detail to the look.

The second look was something a little lighter, with the temperature having heated up a little. I went for this forest green cord shirt, rinse wash slim jeans and threw on a check scarf for a bit of print and added cosiness. I always think of red and green when it comes to the winter, especially the Christmas season, so love how these muted versions make a subtle hint without being obviously festive. I think the whole FatFace collection this season is extremely interchangeable, which means that you're going to get more outfit options out of the things you buy. It'll save so much time as well deciding on what to partner with what, if outfit building isn't your thing.

I always have my go to items each season and always look for quality when I buy these, as I want them to last the whole season and to get a lot of wear out of them. This is something I feel they do really well - making good quality items that'll stand the test of time. It's about having options that can be switched in and out of your wardrobe during the season and that'll offer both practicality and style at the same time without breaking the bank.

I love classic and heritage inspired pieces, and feel FatFace always offer a timeless style that gives comfort and quality each time. My stand out piece has to be the jacket and I know I'll be wearing this a lot. This type of thing only gets better with each wear and I know a few of you will also be eyeing this one up as well. Whether it's flannel shirts, thick knitwear pieces or practical outwear you're after, make sure to check out the FatFace Winter Collection. If you do, make sure to share any outfits with me on instagram as well!
