Shaving is different for every guy out there and it brings different challenges to each of us. A big part of my routine is the preparation - a step most guys overlook. I start with the face scrub, as this helps get rid of any dead skins cells and softens the skin and hair, ready for the actual shave. It also brightens my skin and helps open up the pores. Apply as you would with any facial cleansing product and wash away with warm water. On the days where you might not want to shave, this can be followed by using a moisturiser, to keep the skin looking fresh and hydrated.
If you're going for a completely clean shaven look, I always find it best to shower first. The steam softens the hair and skin, preventing any snagging and will give you a smoother shave in the long run. I tend to use shaving gels instead of creams or foams as I find they give a smoother finish and keep the skin hydrated which for me, is the most important part. The razor itself has a great weight to it and can be engraved with your initials for that extra touch of personalisation. The heads are interchangeable and last for a relatively long period of time. Finish the actual shave with a post-shave balm to cool the skin and sooth any problem areas.
