VALENTINES: GET READY WITH ME ft. L'Occitane

February 14th - the day that divides the nation into three groups; Loved up couples who have been planning for weeks, Couples who are arguing (usually because the guy didn't plan anything at all) and singleton's, either sat at home watching telly or out getting drunk with their mates. Whichever group you fall into, make sure this year you make the effort to do it in style, and make sure to treat that special someone to something special - and yes, this does mean you can treat yourself!

Something that usually gets over looked by most males is a solid grooming regime. Even if you're not one to look after your skin or body, now's the perfect time to start taking better care of yourself, especially if you have that special someone in mind, with a date night planned. If you want to keep problem areas under control and minimalise any signs of ageing, you need to look after your skin. With a wide range of cleansers and moisturisers out there to suit most skin types, there's no excuse.

Another factor that us guys have to deal with is facial hair. Whether you're rocking a full beard, are cleanly shaven, or go for a bit of stubble, you need to stay on top of things and keep it looking tidy. The right products will help with this and help prevent you looking like a cave man or that dreaded razor burn from showing up. My skin often dries out quickly after shaving, so I always use an aftershave treatment to help sooth the skin from any irritation or damage caused in the process. Something that has been a saviour of mine in the past is the L'Occitane Men's Aftershave range. The use of essential oils and shea butter has helped calm my skin, and left it well moisturised. It doesn't feel too heavy on the skin and I find it helps cool down any irritated patches. The price point is also great, making it a great choice for you gift givers.

With it being Valentines Day, it doesn't mean you have to turn up in a black tux with an arm full of red roses - It's important you feel comfortable, but whilst making that extra bit of effort. It's that time to show your loved one you care, or for anyone single to grab the attention of a potential match that you may be spending next Valentine's Day with. I've pieced together a few items that may make a great addition to your current wardrobe and make sure you turn up looking suitably smart.
