WHAT I WORE: NEW YORK CITY STYLE

New York City. My favourite place on earth. This was my third visit this year and my favourite yet. I went as part of my birthday celebrations this month, and was joined by my family who came out from the UK to see me. I loved exploring the city all over again, and spending the week catching up over my favourite New York treats. This was my first visit to New York during the fall, and it looked as spectacular as ever. It was great to get the chance to layer up and finally get the opportunity to wear a few pieces that I've stashed away for the start of the winter season.

I've grown to love the Soho area with the cast iron buildings and tree lined streets. It gives off a completely different vibe to the rest of the city and has some of the best shopping and style to offer. There's also a number of great restaurants in the area, which are worth checking out if you need to refuel whilst out hunting for the latest trends. This day, I decided to go for a classic roll neck sweater that ASOS were nice enough to send me. I'm a huge fan of a cable knit, and this roll neck version is great. It meant I didn't have to take a scarf and it kept me warm throughout the day. In keeping with the grey theme, I stuck with my grey skinny jeans and beanie from Jack Wills for a mix of shades and textures.

One of my favorite purchases form this trip is this black double breasted overcoat from H&M. It also comes in a dark green which I may have to get my hands on before they run out. I did want to add a touch of colour, so these oxblood boots added a hint of character. I find Topman shoes so comfortable and extremely well made for the price you pay. I usually buy most of my boots from them and they nearly always stand the test of time. No trip to Soho would be complete without a pair of sunglasses, and these Raybans finished off the look.
