NOTHING IS THE NEW BLACK

When it comes to clothing, I feel black is going nowhere and on days when I can't be bothered to pull something together, an all black look is my go to. Most of these pieces are amongst my most worn and have been in my wardrobe for ages seeing as they don't go out of style, and I spent that little bit extra investing in good quality basics that would stand the test of time. On instagram, you always seem to like an all black look, especially when it incorporates my leather jacket, so I wanted to give you a run down of this look and the pieces it features.

I don't know what I'd do without a pair of black skinny jeans and a black roll neck. Either worn by themselves, or layered up with an array of jackets and coats, they're super easy to pull off and automatically look a little more stylish than a regular tee and jeans option Mine are both from River Island, however most brands sell these as part of their ongoing collections. I had to layer up with my leather jacket from Allsaints as this is probably the most worn item in my wardrobe. I spent quite a lot of money on this a while back, but I've definitely made up for it in cost per wear and if anything, it's only got better with age. When it comes to leather jackets I always recommend going for the real thing, and spending that little bit extra to make sure you're getting a good quality piece.

The boots are a Saint Laurent dupe from Topman. I've had these a while, so thought they needed a dusting off and would make the perfect option to finish this look. They really add to that biker and slightly elevated street-style with the harness detailing and cuban heel. It's not like I need the extra height being 6'4, but for any of you on the shorter side, this style is great for giving that extra bit of height, whilst maintaining a great look. I think when going for an all black outfit it's important to mix up your textures and fabrications, making sure you've got a good mix in there. For this look, I mixed a combination of leather, denim and knitwear with metallic hardware detailing for those extra points of interest. What do you think?
