Simple stripes and casual classics have long been a favorite of mine for the Spring/Summer season. I find them incredibly easy to pair up on a day to day basis and find they lend themselves to most occasions. I have however, until recently, avoided blue denim and chosen to stick with clean black or a worn out grey as a lighter alternative. I decided it was about to time to invest in a pair, and the new 'Original' fit jean from Topman made the cut.

The jeans offer quite a vintage or retro fit, and in my opinion, are the male equivalent to the 'Mum Jean'. The wider leg and relaxed fit make them perfect for lazy days whilst catching up on a few jobs and make the perfect partner for a pair of white canvas lace ups. I like the slightly cropped length on myself as well - something I've been wearing a lot over the past few weeks.

I accessorized the simple look with a few festival inspired favorites. The red and gold paisley bandana doubled up as a wrist cuff and the wide brim fedora adds that touch of inner city sophistication. With the sun shining, I donned a pair of shades for the finishing touch. I like how simple the overall look turned out - something I feel people try and avoid. For me, the small details add that point of interest and make it perfect for a summer day in the city.
