One of my favourite things to do is eat out. It's a great excuse to catch up with friends, try new things and escape cooking. I've been doing it a lot recently but I'm not one to turn down another lunch date. It was time for a long overdue catch up with Jess (Copper Garden). I've been to Bills a number of times before and have always found it amazing. The one in Guildford has so much character and detail that it's more than possible to sit and chat the afternoon away without feeling the need to move or checking the time. It’s nestled down one of the cobbled side streets and is a great place to visit on a rainy afternoon.

The menu has a lot of choice and they are quite good at keeping it updated so there's always something new on offer. They cover most dishes and are more than happy to change something to suit your taste. I have a weakness for crispy squid so knew I'd have to order these. They were great (for the second day in a row - oops). I didn’t want anything too heavy as I had eaten quite a big breakfast so the Cod Loin was a perfect lunch time treat. Something I also love is coffee and Bills always serve a great cup of caffeine.

The staff are always friendly and helpful should you need anything. It's a great place and we both had fun. It did turn out slightly more expensive than I had expected since after seeing Jess’s camera, I ordered done myself. On the topic of cameras, check out Jess’s Youtube channel where I’ll be making a more than awkward appearance in her weekly vlog. It was nice to catch up on a rainy day over coffee and good food and I would definitely recommend Bills to you readers.
